Bio

In March of 2024, Ivory Pardo was appointed to lead the inaugural Women's Basketball program at Delaware County Community College. With over twenty years of basketball leadership experience, Coach Pardo brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role.

Coach Pardo's coaching journey spans various levels, from middle school to NCAA Division II collegiate ranks. He has notably led five different AAU organizations within the South Jersey tri-state region over the past eight years, demonstrating his ability to develop talent and cultivate winning teams.

During his tenure at King's Christian School in Cherry Hill, NJ, from 2016 to 2019, Coach Pardo achieved national recognition by winning a Christian high school championship. He has also mentored numerous student-athletes, guiding over one hundred individuals to graduate high school and college, with many pursuing coaching careers of their own.

Prior to his appointment at Delaware County Community College, Coach Pardo served as an Assistant Coach for the women's basketball program at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA, from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, he has experience within the NJCAA Region 19 division, having previously served as the Head Coach for the men's basketball team at Salem County Community College from 2007 to 2009.

As a first-generation college graduate, Coach Pardo earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fisk University in 2003, concentrating in Psychology. While at Fisk University, he excelled as a collegiate athlete, earning DIII All-American honors in Track & Field. Subsequently, Coach Pardo pursued studies in medicine at the University of Saint Eustatius - School of Medicine.

Beyond his coaching endeavors, Coach Pardo has also made significant contributions to education and fitness. For over a decade, he has taught Health & Physical Education in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, demonstrating his commitment to fostering holistic development in students. Additionally, Coach Pardo founded and operated Essence Fitness Studio in Merchantville, NJ, for ten years, providing elite strengthening and conditioning services to clients of all ages and athletic abilities.

Presently, Coach Pardo maintains a role as an Application Consultant in the corporate industrial HVAC sector for Bradley Sciocchetti Inc. He resides in South Jersey with his partner, Katrina, and their five children: Alanni (Grand Canyon University), Xavier (Fisk University), David, Kaidyn, and Kobi.

Coach Pardo's diverse background, passion for basketball, and dedication to empowering student-athletes make him an invaluable asset to the Delaware County Community College athletic program. He looks forward to building a competitive and successful Women's Basketball program while positively impacting the lives of student-athletes both on and off the court.
